“They say that life is a highway and its milestones are the years,And now and then there’s a toll-gate where you buy your way with tears. It’s a rough road and a steep road and it stretches broad and far, but at last it leads to a golden town where golden houses are.” – Joyce Kilmer
Drishti was on our mind, our goal for quite a long time. But destiny has a lot of other things in store for you and once you get caught in the vagaries of life, things don’t necessary go as per plan. So the goal of launching our dream site kept advancing, and with it so did the ideas of what, how, when etc. Finally Desh and I decided that it was enough and we had to focus. It took us a while to attain the perfection that we were aiming for and thanks to Desh’s amazing skills; the dawn of 29th January, 2015 became a very special day in our life. We celebrated the birth of Drishti!200 posts, 60k view, and 3400+ visitors, drishti has come a long way in 6 months! Gratitude and… Click To Tweet
Labour of love would be an apt term for our prized blogging site, for that’s how Drishti evolved and became part of our DNA. What started off more as a travel site became our temple to unleash all our thoughts, share our experiences, express creativity and be our self! I never imagined that Drishti would become such a serious part of my life that I would live, eat, drink and breathe Drishti in everything I do. Desh has been a prolific blogger for over 12 years now and knew what it meant and what it would do to us, for us. Being new to the fraternity I didn’t realise the power of the pen would work such wonders and would mean so much to me in such little time.
Today, in less than six months, we have achieved 200 posts and can boast of nearly 60,000 views, over 34,000 visitors and diverse topics in eighteen categories; Haiku, Relationships, Love, Society and Travel being the highest written upon categories. The Haiku ‘Spring’ was our 200th post. As we write this one – the 201st post on Drishti, Desh and I would like to express our gratitude for accepting us, reading us and showering us with bouquets and brickbats too. This splendid journey would not have been possible without your support and we are indebted to each one of you for your time, attention, feedback and love. Thank you for inspiring us to keep writing.
A special thank you to our Guest Writers – Amit Chaurasia, Saman Khan, Sharda Kore, Smietaa Bhandari and Swati Vivek for their magical touch and for making the genre of topics on Drishti more extensive! You have made our journey even more memorable and we look forward to your continued support.
Once again, thank you for taking us closer to the golden house…
