Winter skies

Looked up at the sky
To find brightness, warmth! instead,
Found incandescence…

When the winter sun sets the sky on fire... A #Haiku #poetry #Japanese #winters Click To Tweet

This Haiku is inspired by the blazing and cold winter skies. Whenever I look up at the sky in the hope of finding the sun and a bright warm day, I am amazed by the way it is burning cold even when the sun is up. During the winters, when the sun does show up, it is almost like it has set the sky on fire. The sight is divine! I clicked this picture during our road trip to New York last week.

A Haiku is a Japanese poem of seventeen syllables, in three lines of five, seven, and five; traditionally evoking images of the natural world
